I would give them 100 stars. My fiancee and I go here very regularly. Food is fresh, service is fast and friendly. Definitely some of the best sushi in Lexington!

Really tasty sushi and must try the specials. Sashimi is one of the best in Lexington. Price is so reasonable, can’t beat that and delicious.

I normally am not a big sushi fan, but my girlfriend is so I took a chance and went on her birthday. I got the chicken Katsu and wow was it good! Huge portion and cooked to perfection. I tried some of everyone else's and it was great as well. The fried Ice cream was great as well. I recommend, as there is something for everyone even if you don't like sushi!

This is my third time here and I have had the best experience every time. The food, service and the place itself are amazing. This place has a large menu with delicious dishes. You will definitely find exactly what you want to try. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back here for the unsurpassed taste of my favorite dishes

Really great spot for fresh sushi in Lex. Osaka offers a plethora of custom rolls to delight your culinary palette. Their staff are especially pleasant. I recommend Osaka for your sushi craving!

I’ve been coming to this Japanese restaurant for the past 3–4 years whenever I have time, often bringing friends along—and it’s still my go-to! The prices are very reasonable (honestly way better than Omakase Sushi & Sake Bar in Chevy Chase), the ingredients are fresh, and the menu is impressively diverse. The rolls are creative, the overall quality is super consistent, and somehow the sushi here gives you that special feel-good kind of happiness that other places just can’t replicate. Roll Recommendations: • Kentucky Roll or Lexington Roll – Absolute must-orders. Weigh better than the same name roll in other places • Caterpillar Roll – For eel lovers, this one’s a solid choice and has gotten high praise from my friends. • Caribbean Roll – Starts off tasting like a dessert because of the coconut sauce, but by the last bite it shifts in flavor in a really fun way. • Paradise Roll – Made with banana, surprisingly delicious! • Crazy Salmon Roll – Doesn’t beat the Kentucky or Lexington rolls for me, but it’s great when you’re craving salmon. • There’s also a roll wrapped in pink soy paper that I’ve had a few times—also very good. Sashimi/ Nigiri: • The Uni is supposedly air-shipped from Hokkaido, and compared to similar portion sizes elsewhere, it’s much more reasonably priced—and tastes amazing. • The O-Toro (fatty tuna belly) is delicious and generously portioned. • The Baby Yellowtail (with a slightly sweet house-made sauce) is another standout—so tender and flavorful. • The Sea Bream was fantastic today, especially with the accompanying sweet sauce (made from the owner directly, maybe available once request?). The staff told us it had just arrived fresh from the boat. • King Salmon is also a solid choice—rich and buttery. In terms of food safety, I’ve never had any issues here. Other Recommendations: • Thai Red Snapper (Fried) – The outer layer is perfectly crispy. I believe kids would love it. They even have a fun little birthday celebration rituals. This place has been open for 10–11 years now and is clearly beloved by locals. Definitely a gem worth supporting.

This is the best sushi place I have ever had, and my friend and I will only go to this restaurant for sushi! We come here often, and everything is always so fresh and delicious! The owner of Osaka is also very passionate about the food and cares a lot for his customers. The selection here has a broad variety, and is affordable, and of high quality. For raw sushi choices, I highly recommend the oishi roll, truffle roll, and dragon fly roll! The sushi sandwich is also very good as well for people who enjoy smoked eel! The kalbi beef short ribs is my personal favorite, and I always get it along several dishes of sushi. By far, Osaka is my favorite restaurant ever!

We (my husband, my son and I) passed Lexington multiple times, but it is the first time that I searched for a Japanese restaurant! I regret that I did not find it earlier, and it is a hidden Gem! Go to the original restaurant (where we were) as we first went to the Holiday Inn place. It looks more like a, you know, hotel restaurant, so we drove another 24 minutes to the original one. Everything is so goooooooooooood! We ordered hamachi kama (grilled very well), dinosaur egg (the blend of crunchy stuff, avocado, crab meat, and other stuff is amazing), the sashimi deluxe dinner (fresh fresh fresh), two rolls (beast and salmon rolls (I ordered by photos as there are five to six pages of rolls and it is impossible for me to decide and I think the one with pepper on top is Salmon ones). My son ordered a teriyaki steak and a sushi bentobox. Additionally my husband ordered a beer. The average price for rolls is around 12-13 dollars (very reasonable compared to Charleston, Chicago, DC, and lots of places we have been to). The price for the dinosaur egg is the same as average sushi rolls. Sashimi is so fresh that you don't have to worry about it at all. The two rolls are really good. It was hilarious that I tried the first one, I said, oh so good, then I tried another, and I said, Oh my, so good. The raw sashimi is rather proportional to the rice and the source is so delicate and rich in texture. We spent a total of 117 dollars (we ordered a little bit more for three since we have a teen). The service is very very very good and I feel we were taken good care of. We were so satisfyingly full that we decided to go for a walk before continuing driving (cross the street there is a good will, the only place we can consume some time after 8:30). I teased with my husband that I would like to find a job in Lexington for this restaurant as I am a food lover and if you check my other reviews, you will find that there is a good Sushi house in my town, but this, beats it. It is hard nowadays for you to find a restaurant like this: quality food, wide variety of choices, cozy environment, and most importantly, affordable prices. One tip: call before going to make sure that you don't have to wait. It is Monday today and we arrived at around 7:15. I called earlier and was told that it is not busy. But around 8, the restaurant was full. So, calling in advance is strongly recommended!
